Seki Onsen
Off-piste powder paradise – this is Seki Onsen. Don’t go here unless you have a serious addiction to deep powder. Seki is well known in Japan as one of only a handful of true free ride resort. Although small, it has a ‘ride anywhere’ policy making it a sought after destination for intermediate to advanced riders. Difficult to get to, it is within 30mins drive of Akakura Onsen village and Powder Recon can take you there. Seki Onsen is perfect for those who desire a genuine back-country skiing experience with some of the best free riding possibilities in Japan – without the crowds!
